"It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities."--Josiah Stamp
Jack had many tests today and his liver and kidneys are bouncing back nicely.
His breathing however is awful. his chest sounds like an old creaky house with rattling windows. Took more fluid off, more chest xrays, more tests, etc but our biggest challenge around this is Jack himself. He promises the doctors and the nurses the world and as soon as they leave the room he is taking the oxygen off. I put it back on and he yells at me that he is on a break - ( I am thinking that him being on a break from breathing is not a good plan). I feel like I have been fighting with him all day but he will have to get over that. I just hope that this takes turn for the better tomorrow so things will go a little smoother.

Cheryl...my prayers to both of you...Jack to get stronger and you for sticking through it!!! Tell Jack that if we have to send more people up to babysit we will...he has to follow the rules!!! LOL Jack is the rule follower! Get better jack and listen to Cheryl!
Well, I've been resisting, but it's time to come out of my shell. The Giants kicked but! Eli played like a man and not a little brother. That Patriot quarterback, whatever his name is, was on his back more than Jackie Wayne has been over the last few days. Coach Cheat, I mean "B", behaved like a sore loser. How old is he? It's amazing how character shows up in times of trouble. Cheryl, surely you're wearing that capital "L" on your forehead by now. Sorry, maybe next century. The Patriots are going to be recruiting defensive player after the current defense walks of the team like Coach "B" did to them. Give me a "P", give me an "A", give me a "T", give me an "H". Yes, that's right. Can we say it together, Pathetic!!!! That's him. It's going to take sometime for this to wear off.
Don't worry, we still love you Cheryl, despite your imperfections. What is family for!
OK, enough of the hard times. You're doing a wonderful job with Jack and you must have the patience of Jobe. Oxygen is a good thing, Jack! Get over it and suck it up.
Oh, yeah. Would you like some good news? Tonight, February 5th, 2008. Mark it down. I officially joined the 300 Club. Twelve shots, buried in the hole! We as a team we shot 1250 scratch, 1330 handicap that game. Our set was 3399 scratch 3639 handicap. Not too bad for a bunch of rookies!
Well, I dedicate my 300 to you Jack! You're the best of buds, and I can't wait until you get home. Stay focused and do as the doctor and Cheryl tell you. You don't have any choice in the matter.
Cheryl, sorry for rubbing it in so hard. But you know me, I couldn't resist. Hang in there! Love you both!
Tell Jack to behave or we will put him in charge of the statements project when he gets back. PS - you're already behind so hurry up and get well so you can get caught up. Joe is expecting a big save this year.
Hey, sorry i haveen't been checking lately but WE all will get through this and come out as a stronger family. This experience is bringing us all together and allowing my Dad to know how much his friends and family care.
